We are here to help you meet your strategic asset management objectives. How? By offering impartial energy efficiency expertise, access to funding routes, tried-and-tested delivery models and links into reliable local supply chains and contractors. We are a trusted partner who can help you make energy saving improvements that create warm, efficient homes at scale. Our ultimate aim is to improve Energy Performance Certificate ratings, reduce fuel poverty and cut the carbon emissions of social housing in West Yorkshire.
Impartial experts you can trust
Home Energy West Yorkshire works with the West Yorkshire Housing Partnership which brings together the majority of the region’s social housing providers. We have proven expertise in helping councils and housing associations shape their retrofit upgrade plans. We have also had success in improving resident communication and support, and in making the transition to a warmer, healthier home as smooth as possible.
Funding and resources
We know that social housing providers are right at the heart of delivering energy efficient improvements to West Yorkshire homes. You invest tremendous time and money identifying suitable homes, procuring reliable contractors and overseeing installation. You lead by example, and with Home Energy West Yorkshire by your side, we can also help you secure additional funding and resources from the Government to make even more energy saving improvements to even more of your social housing properties.
Improving homes and lives
We all have a responsibility to provide our social housing tenants with warmer, more comfortable homes with lower energy bills and carbon emissions. You may have already received funding to make retrofit energy saving upgrades to your social housing stock via the Government's Warm Homes: Social Housing Fund. This funding for local authorities and social housing landlords aims to improve the Energy Performance Certificate rating of homes to C. This minimum rating is likely to become law in the near future, so applying for the fund and making energy efficient upgrades before the new regulations is the prudent thing to do.
