We especially want to help you if you are in fuel poverty, have a low income or are vulnerable in any way. Not only that, we can also help you apply for grants, funding or low-interest loans to cover some or all of the cost of any energy saving improvements.
Homeowners
If you own your own home outright or paying a mortgage, you can enjoy impartial, free advice from Home Energy West Yorkshire experts. Want to add solar panels to your roof, replace your old boiler with a heat pump or upgrade your insulation? We’re here for you.

Is the home you rent cold, draughty, damp or mouldy with high energy bills? As well as low-cost energy saving measures you can take, you’ve the right to ask for your landlord’s consent to make energy efficiency upgrades. We can give you advice and help you access schemes and grants.

The government requires private rental properties to have an EPC of C or above by 2028 for new tenancies and 2030 for existing tenancies. So, retrofit energy saving improvements will play a big part in you achieving this EPC target.
